Mrs Burrell
Percival joined the Essex Regiment. He was killed in action in northern France in August 1918. His brother had been killed at the Battle of the Somme in 1916. Photos of both survive and were found on the body of an enemy soldier after Herbert’s death and returned to his mother. Maud passed away in 1919.
