The funeral took place with full military honours on Monday [11 November] of Pte. Frederick George Buck, Lincoln Regt., son of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Buck, 65, Oxford-rd. Bearers and a firing party were kindly provided by Col. Dobbin, of the 5th O.T.C., Trinity College. A short service was held at the Holy Sepulchre Church, the Rev. S. T. Adams officiating. Pte. F. G. Buck was the only remaining son of Mr. Buck, and was 19 years of age. He died of wounds on Nov. 6 received in France on Oct 13 , being struck by a shell as he was leaving the lines for a rest. His elder brother, Pte. Bertram Reginald Buck, Wilts Regt., was wounded on April 18 , 1916, and died the same day, at the attempted relief of Kut.
