Farrington reports in 1859 of Alfred Allen marrying Clara Bentall of Manuden.

William signed up for the Cambridge Volunteer battalion when he was only 17. His four brothers and brother-in-law also fought in WWI. He was killed on the first day of the Battle of the Somme, 1.7.1916.

Wilderspin, William Joseph,Regiment number 15901, died 1/7/1916.From Histon. Was my great uncle.
