Church Hall, Cottenham

History of the Church Hall

The Church Hall was built originally as an Industrial School for Girls. The first brick was laid by Rev Banks’s eldest daughter in 1852. Twenty-five girls were taught cookery and needlework. (See Cottenham in Focus (2002).
