Built in the 1890s.
At the time of WWI it was the home of Eric Humphrey Hopkinson who had started as an undergraduate at Trinity College in 1913. His father was a GP in the Manchester area. Eric was a lieutenant with the Cambridgeshire Regiment when he was awarded the Military Cross for his actions at Ypres 14/5/1915 and Houplines 1/6/1915.
