1895 (CIP 13.9.1895): Obstructing the police: Edward Barrett, labourer, of 104, Gwydir-street, ;he defendant’s witness in the last case, was charged with obstructing P.c. Lee whilst in the execution of his duty, at the same place and time.—Pc. Lee said he had taken Baker into custody, when Barrett pulled him away. Witness afterwards re-arreste’ him. Defendant, the constable stated, was drunk, and he was next charged with this offence.—The Magistrates fined 1s for being drunk, and on the other charge 2s. 6d.
