Gravens, Broad Street, Ely

History of Gravens

Ann Powell recalls in The Way We Remember It, Graven’s proper business dealing with tractors, farm machinery and originally steam engines, which they shipped out to India and other exotic places. Young Ely soldiers in the North African desert came across an engine with ‘J.Graven & Son’ on the nameplate.
