Byron’s Lodge, 63 High Street, Grantchester
History of Byron's Lodge
There is no evidence to actually connect the building with Lord Byron. It is possible that Byron’s Lodge was a kind of annexe for the Green Man, enabling it to operate as a coaching inn.
The artist W G de Gethin converted the loft into a studio.
The physiologist L E Shaw lived here; his wife was a leading figure in the Cambridge Drawing Society.
