Sidney Robinson, grocer

Sidney had been apprenticed at Eaden Lilley but on his aunt’s death left to run the merton Stores. During WWII he worked on the buses while his wife kept the stores going.

1981

Minnie Robinson

In 1981 Minnie spoke to the CWN: I worked in the shop [grocery] for 39 years. We used to deliver all round Cambridge and had very good customers, particularly in the Grange Road area. Lord Rothschild was one of them.
