History of 78 Huntingdon Road

1913

William J Dovey

1939

Mrs A M Wickins

1981

Miss Larke, friend of St Peters Church, told Sara Payne, Down Your Street, she was invited to look at a Roman Temple on Castle Street in 1980. Miss Larke also told how one of the victims of the Black Death was a young priest at St Peter’s called Sir Nicholas De Frevile of Stapleford. His story was told by Arthur Gray in Tedious Brief Tales. In 1390 Margerie Cailly of Trumpington was a nun at St Radegund’s Convent. She went to nurse the dying priest of St Peter’s. Margerie caught the plague but recovered and lived until 1431.
