Murray Edwards College (formerly New Hall)

History of Murray Edwards College

General information about Murray Edwards College can be found on Wikipedia.

The genesis of the art collection, the largest collection of women’s art in Europe, was the approach by the college President in 1992 to 100 British women for donations to a new permanent collection. The majority agreed and the collection has been supplemented by other donations or acquisitions.
