History of 26 Northampton Street

1959 Royal Commission on Historical Monuments Survey of Cambridge: of three storeys and one storey with attics … built circa 1800 and formed the prototype for the continuation of the row westwards very shortly afterwards, the addition being marked by a straight join in the brickwork, though the roof covering is now continuous.

1962 Rt Caldecote

I remember the Caldecotes at No26 and hiding under their stairs with them on one occasion. Note from BS in 2022 ref. WWII bombing.
