This was the original site of William Macintosh coppersmith business. In 1840 – 46 the business moved to 23 Market Street.

The photo shows the building that was demolished to make way for the Henry Martyn Hall
1887. By E S Prior. Flint faced with stone dressings. Tall oriel window on corner with embattled pinnacled crown. Gothic arcade and windows. Interior has enormous fireplace with flues diverted round a window directly above it (a typical Prior conceit).
Henry Martyn (1781-1812) was an Anglican missionary who worked in India and Persia. He also translated the New Testament into Urdu and Persian.
