William Dawes, 31, porter, b Trumpington

Ann Watts, 22, servant, b Bottisham

Richard Miller senior died in 1853. The business was inherited by his widow, and sons Richard and George.

1861

In 1871 the Millers are living at 4 Newnham Terrace

1890

Charles Blaxland Clarabut and Cuthbert Williams set up as wine merchants trading as ‘Late Phillips & Co.’ There premises were sometimes list as nos. 10 & 11.

In 1881 Charles B Clarabut was a 22 year old upholsterer in Wellingborough. In 1891 he is a 31 year old wine merchant visiting in Hougham, Kent.

1891

Cuthbert Willaims, 25, wine & spirit merchant, b Gloucs

Mary E Turnell, servant, housekeeper, b Fulbourn

1897

Charles Clarabut died but Williams carried on in joint names

1901

The Williams family is now living at Lindisfarne, Gresham Road.

Whitmore & Co., wine and spirit merchants, ale and stout bottlers, cigar importers (also at 13 Downing Street, 27 Trinity Street and Queen’s Arms St Andrew’s street.
