Central Cambridge 1798The Angel Inn, Market Street
History of the Angel Inn
The Angel Inn stretched north from Market Hill. Its stable yard was reached via Green Street where MacIntosh’s Yard was in the 19th century. Its balcony over the market was a favourite spot for orators in election times.
