Michael Bowyer in Air Raid! pub 1986 writes about the Lysanders that were based in this area of Cambridge airport in WWII.
Every day, at dawn and at dusk, two Lysanders left Cambridge Airport to patrol the coast of East Anglia for signs of enemy invasion. However, there was little serious damage.
