Augustus married Gwendoline in1926. Previously he was living with his family at 7 De Freville Avenue. Augustus worked for the family business, King and Harper.

By 1960 they had moved to Brook Cottage, High Street, Caxton and then in 1972, 11 Ermine Street, Caxton.
