History of 89 Cherry Hinton Road
The gap between the older houses was originally planned to be the site of a new road according to the 1913 town guide. However at some stage tennis courts were built and it was at this location that bombs fell in World War Two, fortunately causing little damage. The site was then used for an electricity sub-station.
