History of The Ship
The building which had been The Ship was demolished in the 1960s. The school building site became the Reach Village Centre.

Reach church was built on the site of the old one in 1860 and for 40 years schooling has been held there. But the Board of Education had signified its intention of withdrawing recognition so a new school is being built on the site of the old Ship Inn to accommodate 80 children.
