Row of three houses and shops possibly built by Secretary
Thurloe in 1658 for his sons; interiors gutted by fire c.1940.
No. 8 was the home of Thomas Clarkson (b.1760, d.1846).

17th century houses, possibly owned by John Thurloe, Oliver Cromwell’s Secretary of State.
