Brampton Green

History of Brampton Green

The pond was fed by a stream which dried up so the pond was filled in to make green. Trees were planted to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee. A school was built nearby in 1843.

A detailed Ordnance Survey map from 1901 showing buildings, roads, and a school in Brampton, marked with a small red circle.
