The Mill was owned by the Corporation of Godmanchester. It ceased operation in 1884. It was demolished in 1927.
The three watermills of the medieval period still existed in 1512; in addition there was a fulling mill. A reference to this mill in the lease of 1499 states that the miller’s wife was not to visit the mill and interfere with the machinery.
