The Cottage, Papworth St Agnes

History of the Cottage

Dora Tack writes about this cottage in. Whispering Elms:

She numbers in ’17’ on her diagram of the village.

Built of lath and plaster, thatched roof. Four rooms.

Occupants in 1942: not occupied.

This was a tied cottage for Percy Pinner (farmer) of Hill Farm. In 1942 the cottage was shabby. The Gilbert family moved into the cottage in 1945 after Honeydew Cottage burned down.
