Long Sutton street party c.1900

There is. memorial at the church to the murder of John Bailey, surgeon, murdered 21st April 1795 on road between Tydd Gote and Long Sutton. In 1809 an inquest was held at Outwell on the body of Mark Guye who had drowned in the River Nene. He had previously dcclared that he was the murdere of John Bailey.
