100 Barton Road

History of 100 Barton Road

Four years after he had built no.95 Barton Road  Ben Hayward sold the house and bought a plot of land in Millington Road. “We built a house there – no 34 – but mother didn’t get out a lot, it was very quiet, so when this piece of ground came up for sale, we moved up here and built no.100 just beyond and opposite no.95.” (CWN)

In 1956, the year he died, Ben Hayward built no.102 for his daughter.
