Birth of Bernard James ‘Jim’ Frederick Bentinck.

His biography has been written by his son, Michael Bentinck:

My Dad, My Hero – a true story (1996)

Using his father’s notes, he records his father’s experience as a member of the Cambridgeshire Regiment especially while a prisoner of war 1942 – 1946 at the hands of the Japanese in Thailand.

His father’s story is also included in Forgotten Heroes, by Michael Bentinck
