Horsey Hill Fort

History of Horsey Hill Fort

Schedule Monument:

The fort was constructed by Parliamentarian forces in 1643-4, during the first stages of the English Civil War. At the onset of the war Huntingdonshire formed part of the Midlands Association of Parliamentarian counties, becoming a frontier county of the Eastern Association shortly after it was formed in 1643.
