Boxworth Data

History of Boxworth

1829 April 17th execution announced in Cambridge Chronicle of William Osborne, convicted on highway robbery, in front of county gaol. At the Summer Assizes in 1825 he was convicted of sheep-stealing and sentenced to death but his punishment was commuted to one year’s hard labour.
