Playground, Histon

History of playground site, Histon

Ramble Round the Heart of Histon, 1979, has a long entry on this site.

Before 1890 there were four thatched cottages on the site. A photo exists.

The land was one of four sites donated by the Chivers family to be developed into playgrounds to commemorate the coronation of George VI.
