1806 cottage property at this location owned by Mrs Annie Pepys.

1857 Miss Mary Eusden acquired property. In 1857 she married George Custance, a butcher from Cambridge.

1864 property sold to William and Ann Charles of Histon,  coal dealer.

1868 license granted to William Charles re. Black Horse public house.

1870 freehold purchased by Frederick Bailey, Star Brewery, Cambridge

1879 William Ablett licensee
