Harvey and Son, Hauxton Road, Little Shelford

History of Harvey and Son Nurseries

In 2022 Harvey and Son ceased trading in Cambridge market after 92 years. Their Facebook page contained the following comments:

Harvey & Son have been selling their homegrown bedding plants, vegetable plants, salad, fruits and vegetables on Cambridge Market since 1930 but after 92 years they are giving up their stall and closing their nursery at Little Shelford. Today Joanna Harvey, third generation market trader (centre) received a surprise visit from well-wishing customers. And so another little bit of old Cambridge is lost.
