History of Manor Farm

Two photographs showing a monoplane from the front and rear, accompanied by a detailed caption about the British-built aircraft.

Grose monoplane 1910

The Oakington monoplane was the design of A M Grose and N A Feary. The chassis was made by Quinsee of East Road and the stabilisers by Robinson of Regent Street. It was constructed in a barn on Manor Farm, tenant Mr Cooke. The plane never actually flew successfully.
