Various people in the villages in the vicinity of Whittlesford are mentioned in the diary of William Farrington. These include the Sheldrick family, the location of whose farm is currently unknown.

1861 census Thriplow: Thomas Sheldrick, 54, farmer of 30 acres, b Thriplow; Rebecca, 50,  b Thriplow; William Ebenezer, 14, son, b Thriplow.
