Pam Wadham reminisces about life in Cambridge in “Hemignford Road1878-2012”.

“I came to Cambridge from Sutton in Surrey in September 1951 when I married as this was where my husband’s job and home was. We couldn’t find anywhere to live so we brought a caravan and had it on a site at Milton.”

“We lived in Milton until December 1953 when we were offered 89 Hemingford Road to rent. This was wonderful news as we had just had our first child and it was a bit cramped in the caravan.”

1970 Keith Wadham
