A Railway Inspector & A Railway Pensioner

1881

Arthur Bowman, a 34 year old Post Office clerk from Cambridge, lives here with his Scottish wife Mary.

1891

In 1891, 15 Kingston Street is home to Isaac and Selina Catchpole. Isaac Catchpole is a 34 year old Railway Inspector from Beatley, in Suffolk, and 32 year old Selina hails from Colne, in Essex.

1901

By 1901, little has changed: Isaac, now 44, still works works as a Railway inspector, and Selina, now 42, still has no occupation listed.

1911

By 1911, Number 15 is home to Emma Cubberley, a 53 year old from Great Gransden, Huntingdonshire. She is married to Henry John Cubberley, a 66 year old Railway Pensioner from Strensham in Worcestershire. They have two children: Elizabeth Clare, a 29 year working as a ‘Day Duty General Servant’ (as opposed to a live in servant), and Harold Sidney, a 12 year old, in education.
