Down Your Street, 1986, describes how Prince Richard, later the Duke of Gloucester, lived in Victoria Street while a student at Magdalene College. He used to patronise the local shop, Percy Wong’s, at the corner of Clarendon Street. His preference was Ribena lollies. Wong’s developed a reputation for looking after its more elderly clients.
