Nine Wells Ring Ditch, Great Shelford

History of the Nine Wells Ring Ditch

The Proceedings of the Cambridge Antiquarian Society (2021):

The Nine Wells Ring-ditch, Great Shelford

The article describes a cryptic ring-ditch first identified by aerial photography. More than 130 boreholes were dug and evidence from radiocarbon dating and pottery fragments placed the ring-ditch in the Iron Age.
