Head of household in 1891 is Andrew Bareford, a 36-year-old railway engine fireman who was born in Swaffham. He has been married to Ellen Elizabeth (nee Franklin) since 1876 and the couple have six children. The eldest, Florence Ellen, is 14 and was born in Swaffham. Charles Frederick (12), Frederick (9), Emily Mabel (7), George Andrew (5) and Alice May (2), were all born in Cambridge.
No record can be found of Frederick after this census, so he may have died before 1901.
By 1896 the family has moved next door to what is now 3 York Terrace but was then known as number 2a.
