Anglo-Saxon cemetery, Melbourn

History of Anglo-Saxon Cemetery at Melbourn

In 1951 a cemetery was discovered and excavation continued into 1952. During 1952, 28 graves were opened, two of which contained a double burial. The site dates from the early seventh century.
