37 Church Street, The Chequers, The Duke of Wellington, Wellington House, Ickleton

History of Wellington House

Listed Building:

Public house, now a cottage. Late C17 with C19 additions, and C20 alterations. Timber-framed and plastered, brick; plastered brick plinth.

The original inn burnt down in 1699. It was named The Duke of Wellington in 1815.
