Then and Now (David Gent) – St Ives Mill
Originally operated as a steam powered corn mill by Potto Brown, the mill originated in 1854. The main building became Enderby’s Printing Mill in 1901. In the 1970’s it became the base for Clive Sinclair’s electronics business. Today the site has been redeveloped and is now residential, but the main old mill building still stands. First picture is from a postcard postmarked 1905 and appears to show workers leaving the mill.
