birth of Stephen Douglas Sturton

Stephen later attended Emmanuel College and became a surgeon. He arrived in 1921 to work at Hangchow [Hangzhou] C<S Hospital. he won medals from the Chinese government for his bravery in field hospitals during hostilities with the Japanese during the 1930s.

He is buried in Histon Road Cemetery.
