CUP moved to this location from Mill Lane and Trumpington Street in 1961-3. The building then was the Printing House by Beard, Bennett, Wilkins and Partners.
The Edinburgh Building to the north was built 1979-80 by International Design and Construction.
In 1993, the Cass Centre, a stripy little Postmodern pavilion was opened to the west to provide sports and social facilities.
