Old Fire Station, Isleham

History of the Old Fire Station

The Fire Station has gone but the door has been incorporated in the extension of the older building.

The fire engine was drawn by horses, pumped by hand, with six men on either side.

On one Sunday in 1904 the fire engine was used at East End farm in the morning and at Lea farm in the afternoon.
