History of 3 High Street

Audrey Denton in Recollections of Old Ely, describes how her father, William Rodgers, working at 3 High Street, Gardiner’s the chemists, met her mother, Lydia Ann Hart, who was working at no.7, Pledgers. They married in 1907 and moved to St Mary’s Street.
