Destruction of Houses at Soham, Cambridgeshire. —In our late edition last week, we stated that a fire broke out on Thursday, at Soham, Cambridgeshire, and no less than 13 houses were destroyed. The damage is estimated at £5000. The number of persons rendered houseless by the calamity is 79. An inquiry has been instituted into the origin of the tire, the result of which is that two persons were apprehended, and having undergone examination were remanded. Their names are Cornelius Harvey and his nephew, James Harvey; the former is man of independent property, and the latter a grocer and draper of the town.
