Head of household is Logan Rutt, a 39 year old shopman, specifically a draper. Logan is married to Elizabeth, also aged 39. She was born in Southwold, Suffolk. The couple have three children. Louisa is 11, Charles is 10 and Arthus is 9. All children attend school.
In 1891, there is no entry for 27 Kingston Street. This means that there was nobody in the house at the time – whether or not this is because the house was empty or the residents were simply not at home on census day.
By 1901, 27 Kingston Street is home to the Jeeves family. William Jeeves, a 27 year old Carpenter from Blunham, Bedfordshire, is married to Isabella Jeeves, aged 27. They have a newborn son, Louis Jeeves.
In 1911, 27 Kingston Street was home to the Nye family. Edith Nye, a 36 year old from London, is married to Herbert Nye, a 37 year old from Tunbridge Wells, working as a Motor Bus Driver, a relatively new job, and a service which put Cambridge’s horse trams out of business. They have 6 children: Ivy, 12; Harold, 9; Cyril, 8; Reggie, 6; Winifred, 5; and Herbert, aged 1. Ivy, Harold, Cyril, Reggie and Winifred are all in school.
