History of 1 Claremont Hills Road
Pevsner, (Cambridgeshire p.328) calls Claremont ‘a charming close of two short, middle-range 1860s terraces facing a gravelled garden.’
1884-1890
Home of the Michell family, John and Grace, and their three children, George, Grace and Amelia. Another son, John Henry, was a resident at Trinity College. George attended the Perse Grammar and studied engineering at Cambridge University. Both John Henry and Anthony George became Fellows of the Royal Society.
