1952 St Brelades

Harry Goldstein

Priscilla Goldstein

In Growing Up in Cambridge, Alec Forshaw describes those living in the house on the other side of Roseford Road, in number 322.

These were the Gees who were Jewish. Harry had come from grmany in the 1930s and opened an electrical shop at 94a Mill Road. The family with their single son were rarely seen. They had changed their name from Goldstein to ‘avoid drawing attention’. However in the electoral register they can both be found registered as Goldstein in 1952 and following years.
