Old White Hart Inn, Fisher’s Cottage, Littleport

History of the White Hart INn

Littleport OS 1901

The Old White Horse Inn at the junction of City Road and White Hart Lane was surveyed in 1934. The doorway was found to be 15th century and stones had been reused, taken from an older , important building. By December 1936 it was dilapidated, was cleared for road widening and stones sold off for use in rockeries. [Note on an old building at Littleport known as the Fisher’s Cottage – PCAS vol.37 p72]
